Paris

We started the morning with 9am (opening hour, 2nd in line and yes, we were early) tickets to the Louvre. The place is pretty amazing but more than you could possibly see in a morning. We hit the highlights...straight to Mona before she was crowded then the rest of the place. Next a Metro ride to the Arc de Triomphe. By the time we arrived, it started raining. I checked the weather this morning which said no rain. We bought umbrella #3 & #4. We rode the Metro and walked forever (seemed to me) until we finally arrived at the Eiffel Tower. We are going to have to redo visiting some of the places we went to today because of the rain. Anyway, we did as much of Paris that we could manage today. We walked 22,283 steps, a total of 10.05 miles. That's a lot of walking for this old woman. Also this is not a handicap friendly city, there are stairs everywhere. I was dreaming of having one of those Wal-Mart carts probably at mile 2.

  1. Gorgeous pictures, Mom. And "schlep" is a real word, apparently!
