So, yes, we made it to the ship after a bus, train and bus ride. We had a sweet Viking border collie, Javier, herding us the whole way. He kept us all together and he even had to go find one late couple. There always seems to be at least one.
Now we are settling in our room. Beth has busily unpacked so now I guess I should too. Much later…Ok, I have unpacked too. Our room is very tidy. Ronald, or Indonesian room guy will be proud.
Beth said the room/ship reminds her of the Airstream. She is right, as cruise ships go, it is very tasteful. Sleek minimalist Scandinavian design, like proper Vikings.
Also, speaking of Beth, she is in the running for the youngest cruiser. We have spotted a few others but most are Medicare age or older. Tonight she had a mystery bruise on her finger and she dropped food on her blouse….
And, the best Viking food of the day was corn soup, gelato and mango tango. The worst was Beth’s sea bass. It was way too fishy. We had to go to the buffet after the restaurant so she could get some protein. We had a laughing spell in the elevator thinking our fellow elevator riders knew why we were going to level 7. I think they thought we drank too much.
Now we are sitting in our room watching the entertainment…a live Spanish band and rumba dancing girls. We opted out of sitting in the theater. It is just too comfy in our room,
Good night.
