And again, we had another great day. I was worried about the weather because it was raining in the morning. Our tour guide was confident that the weather would be fine on our excursion. He was right...sunny and a little chilly...just like we like it!
We started the day boarding a coach. The driver came on and said I know i look like I'm 12 but I assure you I'm 21. The dufus driving the bus next to us is my cousin. I knew right then we were gonna like this guy. He was smart and funny all day long.
We rode up to the Yukon with some breathtaking scenery along the way. We passed thru a place call Tormented Valley where the temperature can get to -50 in the winter with very strong winds. It was mostly small trees and bushes and rocks.
The scenery turned absolutely beautiful after this valley. We stopped at Emerald Lake where the water was so beautiful it looked fake, like Bob Ross painted it. He said this lake is where the northern lights go to bed...and I believed him.
We ended up in a cute place in the Yukon where we had lunch, visited sled dogs and puppies.
A short bus ride later we boarded the train to Skagway. The views were amazing...again. Jane rode a lot of the ride outside between cars. Of course that's the best view.
We were dropped of in the cute little town of Skagway to explore and shop.
It was a fun day but now I need some down time. Tomorrow we cruise Glacier Bay so that should be easy.
Time for bed now.
Good night 😴
